As we have been telling people about the changes that are happening in our lives we get a lot of questions.  Each week, here on the blog, there will be a new post answering one of the many questions we receive. For this week it’s first things first…

Where exactly are you going?

Panama City, Panama.

Located in Central America Panama has borders with Costa Rica (to the North), Colombia (to the South), the Pacific ocean (West), and the Caribbean Ocean (East).  It is roughly the
size of the US state of South Carolina.  We will be going to Panama City which is located in the middle of the country, right on the Pacific Ocean. Panama City is an international city and one of the largest in Central America. The population of Panama
City is just about 900,000 and is a Spanish-speaking country, but English is also spoken widely.

Panama is a tropical climate,so it is hot and humid.  There are two seasons: wet/rainy (May-January) and dry (January-May). The temperature stays the same most of the year which is between 75-85 degrees Fahrenheit with high humidity (70-80%).

It is a beautiful country and we are excited to have the opportunity to live there and experience a new pace.

Some awesome facts about Panama:

• Panama Canal!

• Panama is the only place in the world where you can see the sun rise on the Pacific and set on the Atlantic.

• The Bridge of the America,which spans the Pacific entrance of the canal.Although it does not separate two countries it does take you from North to South America.  Nothing like being in two places at once!

• Panama City is the only capital city that has a rain forest within the city limits.
